Training and Technical Assistance

Alianza conducts domestic violence workshops, participates on panels at local, regional and public forums, and organizes conferences and other training forums that help Latino/a service providers and advocates enhance their knowledge and skills, and develops and distributes culturally and linguistically competent resource materials.

Fall 2006 Regional Trainings

Alianza is very proud and excited to announce 5 Regional Basic Trainings for Survivors’ Support Groups Facilitators, in the use of our recently developed Support Group/Empowerment Curriculum for Latina Survivors of Domestic Violence bilingual guide. Trainings are taking place this fall.

Recent Activities

Fifth national conference: Yo Soy El Poder del Cambio: Family Violence Prevention and Beyond, held November 18 & 19, 2005, in San Antonio. The report will be out in January 2007. Click here for a summary of the conference.

We will be publishing a support group curriculum (in Spanish and English) and conducting four regional trainings for advocates wanting to use the curriculum this summer.
