Full Time Community Education Coordinator (posted 3/10/06)

The Sexual Assault Crisis and Education Center has been in existence since 1979 providing free and confidential support services to victims of sexual assault and their families in the communities of Darien, Greenwich, Stamford, New Cannan, Norwalk, Weston and Wilton. Services include short term counseling, support groups, personal advocacy and accompaniment to hospitals, police stations and courts as well as a 24-hour crisis hotline available in English and Spanish. The Center also provides a full range of educational programming to audiences ages 4-adult, including professional training for police, medical staff, social work and human services staff and parents.

Job Description

We are looking for a full time Community Education Coordinator whose responsibilities include: Building and maintaining community relationships, researching and developing program curricula, and scheduling all agency speaking engagements. Ability to present sensitive personal safety materials to all ages and adapt to new environments.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Must be willing to complete Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor Certification Training Program by the agency.
  • Use of reliable car with proof of insurance and valid driver’s license is required.
